Break Time
I wanted to post something before I leave for my Spring-Break trip. My best friend Sarah is pregnant and I'm spending the week with her. I'm going to be painting some stuff for the baby room. (If anyone out there knows anything about mural painting and has any tips, please email me. I have no idea what I'm doing) I'm ready for this vacation to start.
I have some Cool News! Earlier this week I was asked to join The Morsel's Bloggery! I'm so excited about this! I can't believe I'm sharing a blog with Gary Ham, Scott Tolleson, and Dean Yeagle! They are such amazing artists!
I wish I had more drawings to share but I haven't had much time to draw this week.

Terrific sketches. It's inspiring to see someone so diligent about drawing. Your distorted characters are great fun...are they invented or are you drawing from life and just bending things around a bit? Whatever it is, keep doing it!

Frankly, I'm starting to feel like even my comments are too flimsy for such inventive designs and witty visual takes on the human condition. BUT!
Every time I stop by, I get hung up for several minutes admiring the third group in this post.... The old lady reminds me of character actress Ruth Gordon; the one in the upper left is like a woman in a classic New Yorker cartoon come to life; the two in the lower left bring to mind people I once knew, only they never had it in them to be this entertaining on sight; and the girl in the top center is having trouble of some kind but is strong enough to muddle through it unscathed. None of this is really for me to say, of course... this is Kristen's world. I'm just glad she lets us peep.
